Wedding photographer Pisa – Pieve de’ Pitti

In this story, I was Sara and Nicolò’s Wedding photographer Pisa.

Love. Being loved is like giving a good kick to a ball; as in the eyes of a boy who rejoices, in the tears of a disappointment, in the ball that breaks through the net and fills the heart, so love fills your life with the same emotions.

I’m not a great football fan, but this comparison seemed appropriate to me to introduce you the love story of Sara and Nicolò.

He is a referee and she is an employee. They met in Paris during a school trip and chose me to capture the fulfillment of their dream of love in Pieve de Pitti in the countryside of Pisa.

Pieve di San Leonardo in Cerreto Guidi

The wedding takes place in the Pieve di San Leonardo, in the center of Cerreto Gudi.

Cerreto Guidi is located in a wonderful scenario made of soft hills, dominated by the traditional vineyards and olive groves. Those hills are dotted with farmhouses, farms, villas, and parish churches.

The San Leonardo Pieve is located next to the massive Medici’s villa. It contains valuable works from the 16th century as well as the amazing baptismal font in glazed terracotta by Giovanni Della Robbia. On the high altar, stands the wooden crucifix by Giambologna and above the entrance, the choir, which is protected by a grille, is directly connected to the Medici villa: from here its guests could attend the religious services without being disturbed.

The bride walks in wearing a beautiful Pronovias dress that enhances the beauty of Sara thanks to its delicate fabrics, attention to detail, being expertly embroidered and artfully worked. In all their beauty Sara and Nicolò have pronounced their “Yes, I do” and they will face this hard game that is life but together.

The Piave de’ Pitti Estate in the Pisa countryside

We move to the Pieve de’ Pitti estate – south of the municipality of Terricciola, in the heart of Pisa – for the wedding party. The estate is surrounded by 198 hectares of woods, cultivated fields, and above all vineyards and olive groves that stretch over the whole hill dominated by the Villa and the Castle of Pava.

The location is very romantic and perfect for the couple shooting we took after the ceremony. In particular, the lemon house is the perfect place to capture their love, brightened by the sunset, overlooking the cliffs of Volterra.
